After these Monkton homeowners sought an update for their existing home exterior, Greenleaf worked to not only improve the façade of their exterior but also improve the year-round comfort of their home with a Deep Energy Retrofit. Rigid foam insulation was installed on each exterior wall to insulate and seal the house, and pre-finished James Hardie siding was installed and trimmed with Versatex composite trim pieces. All windows were replaced and the wraparound porch was transformed with new flooring, a composite bead board ceiling and a rebuilt railing system. The result is a home that is more energy efficient and comfortable. In addition, the existing windows and siding were donated to Habitat for Humanity for reuse.
