How do you develop a beautiful palette in a small space? This bathroom features a more traditional design with Carrera Marble subway tile and mosaic black and white marble flooring. The bead-board, base molding and chair rail were custom milled from composite molding by our craftsmen to provide a durable and pleasing backdrop for the walls. The original bathroom was an impractical space for the owners. The claw-foot tub was unusable, the toilet leaked, and the fixtures were crammed together. Greenleaf removed the tub and created a marble shower and frameless glass enclosure within the existing roofline. The radiator, and sink were relocated, and the toilet was moved into an alcove provided by the dormer window. A new ventilation system was installed with ducting to the exterior. Spray foam and mineral wool insulation made a drafty space comfortable to use.
